I make no apologies for asking you to look at my lykeablebooks4U.com, which you’re viewing right now. It’s there that I include and review some of the narrative segments that I wrote in my recently published psychologically based book entitled: What Would Our founding Father’s Say?;How Today’s Leaders Have Lost Their Way.

I make this impassioned plea because I just finished listening to several of the Sunday morning political talk show hosts’ programs, This Week with George Stephanopoulos and Meet the Press. What I discovered by listening to them was that many of the reasons I wrote the book were discussed on those shows. However, on those programs, only some ‘stop-gap’ measures to temporarily fix the problem were discussed. The underlying, basic problems that have caused this political charade to continue for many years now, were not addressed whatsoever.

That’s not true with my book, In What Would Our Founding Fathers Say. Not only do I describe the problems in some detail, explaining the psychological reasons our government is a broken system, but more importantly, in a bipartisan way, I explain what we need to do and why we need to do it, if our country will survive the political rigors and challenges our 21^st century presents to all the citizens of our beloved country, the United States of America. If we don’t do what I suggest in my book, AT BEST, we will continue to be an inferior caricature of what we could become, and by the end of the century, or earlier, we will become another fallen empire, where, if that happens, our democracy and republic will become null and void. In the first chapter of my book, a part of the narrative is devoted to a description of what could happen if that should occur.

If the bleakest scenario that I just described becomes a reality, what does that mean to us as Americans? What it means is that the dreams and promises for a vast majority of us will continue to become unattainable. All because our Congress and President were unwilling to make the necessary compromises to pass laws to potentially benefit ALL Americans – not just the special interest groups, lobbyists, the rich and the powerful.

We can conclude if that occurred, there would have had to be a complete disregard of the political process by our elected officials, and in its place, the politicians would continue to pursue their self-serving pursuits. This is all being done at the horrendous expense of not responding to the needs of “We the People.”

If that would occur, it would be obvious our elected officials were willing to sacrifice everything to satisfy their desire for power, fame and money. In doing so, everything about our country which we hold near and dear to our heart, such stuff as our dreams and all the things that we believed made America great would be surrendered.

The saddest part of this story is that all of this would be done at the unspeakable loss of all that our Founding Fathers did for us, as well as those who fought in all the wars since the birth of our nation, which was to protect our freedoms.
